United in Vision, Leading the Core Track | First Diamond Semiconductor Conference Concludes Successfully in Zhengzhou

On December 12, 2023, the inaugural Diamond Semiconductor Conference, which had drawn significant global attention within the diamond semiconductor field, successfully
concluded in Zhengzhou.

Venue: Xuanyuan Hall, Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center
The event brought together leading enterprises from the global diamond and semiconductor industries, research institutions, and university laboratories. With the shared goal of advancing innovation and development in diamond semiconductor technology, the conference served as a platform for experts, scholars, and industry representatives worldwide to exchange ideas and foster collaboration, accelerating the diamond industry’s transition to new technological frontiers.
Diamond semiconductor has garnered widespread attention due to its exceptional physical properties and promising application prospects. In the context of global carbon neutrality goals, it holds tremendous potential for establishing more reliable and resilient power networks.

The conference was opened by Mr. Zhang Hongtao, Chairman of Tianjian Carbon Material Co.,Ltd, the organizing entity.

Professor Wang Qinsheng, specially invited guest, delivered a speech at the conference.
The conference received substantial support from across society. Mr. Zhang Hongtao, Chairman of organizing company Tianjian Carbon Materials Co., Ltd. and a noted expert in diamond application science, alongside Professor Wang Qinsheng, Chief Expert of the National Torch Program's Superhard Materials Industrial Base, delivered addresses at the conference.

The conference also featured special presentations by esteemed experts including Academician Zhou Weiguo of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and Honorary Senior Fellow at the National University of Singapore's East Asian Institute, Professor Jiang Shibin, Chair of the International Commission on Glass Optoelectronic Glass and Optical Fiber Committee and Academician of the World Academy of Ceramics, Dr. Song Jianmin, a world-renowned diamond application scientist, Professor Zhu Jiaqi of Harbin Institute of Technology, as well as representatives from Tianjian's European Diamond Application Laboratory (Willy) and Russia's Marlia. These experts shared their latest research findings in diamond semiconductor technology, contributing valuable insights to the field.

Holding this conference in Zhengzhou, China carries landmark significance. As a traditional and high-potential industry in Henan Province, the diamond sector accounts for over 90% of the global market share. Henan is committed to leading frontier innovation, strengthening industrial clusters, and establishing itself as a new hub for superhard materials. The establishment of the Diamond Semiconductor Industry Alliance and the Diamond Semiconductor Research Institute during the conference will accelerate breakthroughs in key technologies, supported by new laboratories, industrial research centers, and engineering technology platforms in collaboration with universities.

Organizer: Tianjian Carbon Materials Co., Ltd.
Simultaneously, Tianjian will support the formation of integrated innovation consortiums. These alliances will unite downstream industry leaders with upstream small and medium-sized enterprises, research institutions, and government entities, fostering collaboration across industry, academia, research, and finance. The focus will be on landing major scientific and technological projects to drive the large-scale development of the diamond semiconductor industry.

The successful conclusion of the inaugural Diamond Semiconductor Conference marks the entry of the diamond semiconductor field into a new stage of development. As a cornerstone technology for the future, the research and development of diamond semiconductors will further drive innovation and transformation in the electronics industry.
